A friendly club for neurodiverse young people and their families in Torbay
We are pleased to announce that our weekly clubs have restarted - gratefully funded by Torbay Children’s Services. Mayfield Hub Club ( is a safe, relaxed place where you can try new things and make a few new friends - that includes you too adults!
We support young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and other Neurodiversity (whether you have a diagnosis or not). All are welcome here.
Every week is a little different - you can join in as much or as little as you like.
You might get to: play on the amazing outdoor play equipment, try cooking new recipes each week, make delicious food and eat together, create crafts to take home, try arts and building, join in with demonstrations, trips, and special activities. It’s also a place to simply hang out, have a drink/snack, and feel comfortable.

Hello! I'm Michelle 👋
It's my job to keep everyone safe at our clubs and to organise all of the sessions. You'll often find me chatting to young people and families, making drinks and just checking in on people. I can sometimes be found on the craft table.

Hi! I'm Zach 👋
I run our sports session at Mayfield. We play lots of Football and basket ball. I can be found outside on the playground or on the field when its sunny and dry.

Hey, I'm James 👋
I love all things bushcraft and forest school. You’ll often find me down near the outdoor play equipment, running around and playing hide and seek. Hopefully see you soon!

Hi! I'm Eve 👋
I like to greet people and say when they arrive. You’ll find me signing everyone in just inside the library and pointing people in the right direction to the things they might like to do.

Our Junior Playworkers!
We have lots of junior playworkers at Play Torbay. You’ll often find Sasha, Chloe, Evie or Sienna on session, playing, having fun and looking after everyone in the best possible way. They’re super friendly and love getting stuck in.

You do not have to change who you are to come to Mayfield Hub Club.
We don’t judge.
You do not have to talk if you don’t want to.
You do not have to join in straight away.
You do not have to be “good” at anything.
You do not have to make eye contact.
You do not have to sit still all the time.
You are allowed to do what you need including:
Take breaks whenever you need
Ask questions
Wear headphones
Bring something that makes you feel safe
Move around
Feel excited
Feel nervous
Change your mind
Try something and then stop
Some days might feel big and busy. Some days might feel calm. However you are feeling when you arrive is okay.
The adults at ASRUS understand that everyone’s brain works differently. We know that some people find noise tricky. Some find new places tricky. Some find waiting tricky. That’s okay. We will work with you and your family to help you feel safe.
ASRUS is a place where you can slowly build confidence, make friends in your own time, and discover things you didn’t know you could do.
Most importantly — this is a place where you are welcome exactly as you are.
Who can come? 👨👩👧👦
Mayfield Hub Club is for children and young people who come along with their:
Parent / Carer / Guardian
…and often brothers, sisters and friends come too.
This means the club supports the whole family, not just one person.
When is it on? 📅
Sessions run all year in 2026 (term time only):
🕠 5:30pm – 7:00pm on a Thursday Evening
Location - Mayfield School, Moor Lane.
